My new server (Mark 2)

Yep, I am going to build a new server again. Now that I've settled in a bit, I once again find myself in need of a test lab. I want to be able to test new operating systems, tools, configurations and techniques. It's time to build a new VMware ESXi Server.

Here's the hardware I got from a local store:

• Motherboard: Intel DX58SO2, 2 x 1Gbit Intel NICs [DX58SO2]
• CPU: Intel Core i7 960 3.20 GHz, 8M Cache, LGA1366 [BX80601960]
• RAM: Corsair XMS3 DDR3 kit, 6GB (3 x 2GB), PC3-12800 [CMX6GX3M3A1600C9]
• Video: GeForce 9300GS, 512MB, PCI-E, DVI, VGA, HDMI [VGA-PIXEL-9300GS-512]
• HDD: WD Caviar Green, 1TB, 7200RPM, SATA III, 64MB Cache [WD10EARX]
• Case: Cooler Master Elite 431 Plus [RC-431P]
• PSU: Cooler Master GX-650W, 650W [RS-650-ACAA-D3]

For a total of 8,470,000 IDR ~ $964.16 CAD.

One thing for sure, I am not ecstatic about this case and power supply. I was forced to compromise since the store didn't have CM 690 II Advanced and CM Silent Pro M600 I wanted.
